Have a kona stinky 2009, wanting to electrify it for trails...want to go up this thing the same as down.

Would the freeride/dh bike be too heavy for the bbs to power? I only really see front suspension mtbs and rigid road bikes..

I've got the bbs02 on a front suspension bike and ride pretty rough trails with it, that hill looks nothing special from my experience and I don't think a dh bike would be heavy enough to make much difference. Saying that I'm not a heavy bloke and I'm using a 32t front chainwheel and this combo gets me up virtually anything at around 15mph which is fairly fast going up most trails. I'm also looking to put the bbs on a full suspension bike as the handrail can't handle the extreme riding

It would be fine, but maybe a Cyclone3000w would be a lil more powerful without breaking the bank.
The real obstacle with the bafang...is the BB width.
It comes for 68/73mm...or 100mm bottom brackets...no 83mm option.
(edit, looks like ya got a 73mm bb on that year stinky)
