A motor like that has such gigantic regenerative braking potential that you could get away with not using mechanical brakes in the rear at all. Unless you have offroading to do, because with most controllers, regenerative braking is an on/off switch, not variable.

Yes when I bought the kit I had a working P.V. 18 fet but it out for now. And the 60amp controller that can with it doesn't have Regen. And this wheel has carbon steel chrome plated spokes and not stainless.
Now I see China kits for 420.00 shipped. And was looking for the weeks.
