Hi,
I'd like to ask for assistance regarding my recent problem with this unit.
It's been working well for a year (1300+ miles) but now I'm experiencing
this problem - power is cut off for a split second and then comes back.
Sometimes it happens just once (for example 10s ON, 0.1s OFF, 10s ON, etc.),
sometimes more frequently (1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 1s ON, etc.) but generaly
It seems random.
From what I see it's related to bumpy surface - it doesn't happen on even
sufraces but only when the ground is not smooth.
I tried to simulate it in garage conditions - with rear wheel up I run the motor
and tried to move all the wires and connections (I have 3 SLA batteries).
I think I shook it very hard but nothing bad happens - max speed is maintained.
I tried to shake the whole bike but I don't get the same result as when driving
outside - power is not interrupted. When testing I run the motor both by using
throttle and by turning the pedals.
I also disconnected batteries and connected it to voltage meter - it's still showing
~40V no metter how hard I try to shake the batteries/connections.
Note one: voltage level on the display is not showing any changes when
the power turns OFF and ON as described above.
Note two: I noticed one strange behaviour - in same cases of power going OFF
and ON the backlight of the display turns ON (normally I would have to press
"+" sign and hold it for a couple of seconds). However it doesn't happen in all cases.
Is it possible that there migh be some loose connection between the controller
and the rest of the unit? I haven't looked at that part yet.
I would apprieciate any hint on how to check the reason.
Thank you
Kris, Poland.
