Here is a cruiser that I built last winter.

The build went well except that the last coat of clear coat caused some chemical reaction and destroyed all 6 coats of primer, paint and clear coat… so I had to bring it to a professional painter…

Whats underneath the seat? Is the battery box custom? Great placement...

What materials did you use?
I have something similar in mind and would like some ideas.

Hi,

The battery box is made of sheet metal since I wanted it to be somewhat fireproof when charging the pack inside our house.
I gas-welded the box with "edge welds in flanged corners" so you´ll need a sheet metal bender. I got 6pcs 5s 3000mAh
batteries and power- and balancing cables to fit in the box and it gives me a range of 50-80 kilometers depending on
how much I pedal. I will try to take some photos of the battery box in the beginning of next week.

The box under the seat is a tin-can containing the controller and excess cables.
