Ok, im looking for some help please. Purcashed a 4060 and hooked it up to
my 18fet lyen controller, on 24s lifepo, so 80v nominal. no grinding on noisy,
and fantastic tourque. pull 4.5kw from start, and feels great. But when
my friend had a ride and when he went from stop to start. the hall sensors blew.
now, never had that happen. plus when i took it back to the seller, he said
it could have been wrongly wired. because top speed should be 80kph.
max i could get on a straight was 65, and thats flat out.

keywin setup was 60amps current and 100 phase. i was told the pase
should be 2.5 times more than the current? true? so the seller thinks that
the phase wires and hall sensors were wrongly connected.

Any opinions? can some please help at the color code. i had it working, and felt
fine. 3.5amps no load with woh. tried lyens code and worked backwards
the a 5x series code and that worked, but blew eventualy.

This is my first crystalyte, before then, ive built 2 other 9c bikes.

So question is. wrong code color? bad motor? bad keywin settings? or just pushing
it to hard!

any help would be much appreciated as i get the motor back today.

Thankyou :)

My H4060 isn't here so i can't tell you the color combo, but I only get around 65kph with 96v.

Phase should be around 2.5 times the battery current.

3.5a no load current seems a little high, but i would have thought that a wrong combination would cause a much higher amperage than that, and get hot.

yeah i thought that too. 3.5 amps not even warm, and was pritty smooth. im supprised that at 96v it should go faster, well im told should go 80kph. well im was doing 65 on 76v.

Well, thanks but it's the guys at Nanjing Lishui Research Electronics work (or lsdzs.com), I just found it when trawling around. It's pictorial so easy to follow!

riding around then it starts to sutter. stop and find out that the
hall sensors have come off. i shit myself. plug it back and started
riding. its still stuttering. oh nooo. well i start to pedal, and still noisy.
press the regen brake, still noisy. pedaled some more and sorted itself
out. hall sensors have been replaced, and bike rides fine. normal or not?
i thought, do these motors need to warm up?

motor will not need to warm up. will you try other type of controller with the 4060? like huatong, or green time controller.
for my point of view, if is really noisy , myself will believe the combination is wrong in my case.

Exactly why do you think it is wrong?

a correct combination motor n controller, motor will run smoothly from a free wheeling wot. i do have try all the combination 36 of them, a wrong one some will not spin, i have ever saw a bad hall sensor seem to run well on free wheel, and on road test .it is not rideable. huatong controller are usually non programmable and expect to run well. they have factory tested, setting must be sure right.

so ive been riding for a couple of days and still the same.
80% of the time its ok. then i try to take off, and it feels rough. i pedal a bit and its ok. or press the regen and fixes
itself. then nice and smooth. to tell you the truth it feels like it sensorless. never rode one. but could imagine. im
pulling 60amps easly and smooth. only when i come to
a stop. come to think, if i stop and roll the bike backwards.
not sure guys. shes working and if the hall sensors blow
im going sensorless. i dont mind to pedal to take off.

Hey fluid,

I just finished wiring an 18 FET Lyen to a C-lyte 3540. What wiring combination did you come up with?

Controller / motor

Hall
Black black
Blue yellow
Green green
Yellow blue
Red red

Phase
Green yellow
Yellow green
Blue blue

Works ..but is a false positive

the wire combo for Lyen controllers to all Crystallite hubs is:

PHASE
Y > B
G > G
B > Y
HALL
R > R
BK > BK
Y > Y
G > BL
BL > G

8)

first combo came up with

PHASE
B > B
G > G
Y > Y

HALL
R > R
BK > BK
Y > Y
G > G
BL > BL

ran smooth but backwards.

current combo

PHASE
B > B
y > G
g > y

HALL
R > R
BK > BK
Y > bl
G > G
BL > y

works but stutters sonetimes. now shes 90% not working.
hope i havnt blown the halls :/ put it 10amp current and 30 phase
and rode home at 1.5amps. was painfull but made it

will try yours stevil. hope it works :) also how many amps were
you pulling freewheeling?
