I see if I can make a video...

Hi guys,

The bike is working great. If I was building today, I choose a full-suspension. With this bike, speeds superiors of 60Km, is to forget. The acceleration is very powerful.
The battery is ok to handle. Put the battery on the bike, connect the Andersen "block", press the pre-charge button, connect the positive and turn on the bike, with the power-button.
After the ride, take the battery out, and store it, in my "bunker".

Luis.

Amazing build! Thanks for posting everything in detail. I feel like too many on the forum get impatient and go the "duck tape" route. It makes the community suffer a bit I fear since it makes the bike look more like a Frankenstein monster machine than a reliable mode of transportation. You did great work here though, I hope you are enjoying it!
I'm about to start a full suspension build myself and hope I get at least a portion of the finesse your build exhibits. We shall see I guess...
Parabéns, e bem feito amigo.

Going for a ride...get ready

Hello guys,

Start to work on my charging station. Every time, I want to charge, I need to assemble all the cables...for power-supply, charger...
So, I bought a tool-box, and I want to put everything inside. I need to do some changes, because space is a "premium".
More to come on this.

Luís.

The lipo charging station, is still on the makes. I need to gain 2 cm om the high, so need to improve. Put some L shape brackets all around, to obtain that.
Its raining a lot here...its the perfect time to build this.

Nice work
I have both the Anderson and hydraulic crimping tools as well.
User tip for Anderson crimper: use the stem on a pen cap to help align the connector in the crimper. I keep a few pen caps in my crimper tool box
Question What type of connector did you use to Y connect your wires? I am not asking what connector you used at the end.
But the one used and hydraulic crimped to connect at the y branch?

Hi Microbatman,

To crimp the "Andersen", I use their tool, not the Hydraulic.
For the Y, I use a cooper sleeve. Put the wires inside, and then crimp with the hydraulic.

Luís.

Today, big ride...
Good climbing performance from this motor.
The batteries stay very well balance. I never discharge the pack, less than 89 volts, that's +- 3.708 volts per cell, and never charge more than 4.15 volts per cell.
Very happy.
In the mean time, I buy a new bike, just to pedal a little, not for a conversion.
I believe the next conversion for me, its going to be a full suspension/downhill bike, the battery in a back-pack, cromotor and a Adaptto controller.

Luís.

Just a little update.
I was not happy with my 2 color front tire, so was time to upgrade.
I still have to finish my charging station...almost done.

Some km today. Find some nice trails near my house.
Have to watch closely the motor temperature, especially on the hills.

Hi guys,

Another ride today. Found some beautiful "trails" around were I live.
I was fine tuning my shunt value, and I think its close now. Cycle-analyst 5.164 amps out, and the charger 5.186 amps in.

Luís.

Hi guys,

30 km ride today. Today I charge to 100 volts, 4.150 per cell. Before I charge, all the cells remain at 3.819 volts...after one week...that's pretty awesome. I arrive home at 90 volts, after 30 km. Still have some autonomy left, but my "ass" was finish. Motor temperature was fine, some peaks at 90ºC after some heavy uphill acceleration.

Take care,
Luís.
