This is a new line of battery powered lawn tools sold at Home Depot stores in the USA. They look to have some nice features for ebikes. There's a 3 year warranty on the batteries!

- There are battery packs with 2Ah and 4Ah capacities.
- 30 minute charger.
- Built-in BMS and cooling.
- Reasonable prices ($200 for the 4Ah pack and $130 for the 2Ah pack).

I would like to find out their C rating and their durability.

It's time to find out how to make these into ebike batteries!

Looking over the user manual for the battery packs, there's this information:

"NOTICE: This battery pack is equipped with an advanced self-maintenance function to extend the battery life. Depending on the battery charge, it will automatically perform a self-discharge operation after one month of storage. After this self-maintenance, the battery pack will enter sleep mode and maintain 30% of its charge capacity. If stored for a month or longer, fully recharge the battery before the next use.

It is not necessary to run down the battery pack charge before recharging. The Lithium-Ion battery can be charged at any time and will not develop a “memory” when charged after only a partial discharge. Use the power indicator to determine when the battery pack needs to be recharged."

Sounds as if it's able to put itself in storage mode.

My guess is that it's 14s, and charges to 56v.

Those are looking cool, but I want better prices on the batteries as always. Very similar stuff in all the brands this year, Kobalt, Greenworks.

Wineboy has the mower and some other tools in the greenworks. Pretty nice, compared to my B&D 24v lead mower. Truly near the same as gas powered.

If somebody sold a contoller motor combo that could hook directly up to these that would be interesting. Or a premade harness to instantly run a couple of these in parallel then take off your bike and mow your yard.

It looks very plasticky. That would make it very light I guess.

The blower uses the 2Ah packs, I believe. Did they have the mower?

You can get some more information from the msds posted here

These are definitely uses Sanyo cells. Can't tell if these are NMC or LCO

It looks like it might be using these cells

http://www.panasonic.com/industrial/includes/pdf/UF103450PN.pdf in 2p, maybe 13-15s.

The C rate is quite poor

Thanks Kookie77,

Can you tell us who makes the cell and what model number from the cells casing?
