ETwow GT SE problem with turning on

I'm having problems with an Etwow GT SE that's around 1.25 years old now.

Whenever I try to turn it on, it produces a screeching sound and the screen flashes but doesn't turn on (first video).

I've found sometimes that pressing down on the top of the cover, in between the power button and odometer, enables it to turn on (second video).

Once it turns on, everything operates without a problem (and turns off by itself too). The ONLY problem is when I try to turn it on in the first place.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before? What are possible solutions, do I have to replace the LCD Display perhaps?

Sounds like you already have it figured out--a mechanical problem with the part that you can press on to make it work.

To know what specific problem it is you'd probably have to open up that part of the device and see what's up inside. Or check to see what the casing of that part presses on, underneath that device, etc.
