What kind of socket/connectors are people installing on the outside of their electric vehicles?

I want to have something like a 5 meter extension cable from the AC socket to the scooter and then perhaps have it go up under the scooter and have the plug protected from rain under the seat.

But i'm also thinking about having an external connect on the scooter so that the cable is connected on the outside of the scooter.

I was thinking about using a Menneskes connector the one called type 2 they seem like they might be good in rain.
But they are also big and expensive and overkill.
Might be hard to find a good spot for it on a scooter if there needs to be alot of space behind it.
But on the other hand if they are used alot it might be possible to find used cheap or that the price will drop if alot of them is made.

Would be nice to have some connectors good for rain.

For charge connectors, using one that is bigger than needed is better than smaller than needed due to localized heat.
