Got me one of the 3000w 72v ebike kits from Amazon and a Btrpower 72v LifePo4 (30ah) mounted up for a quick and dirty conversion (including throttle cable connected to a hose clamp on the handlebar throttle. Had to buy a #35 sprocket to get it to fit. This go kart was mine over 20 years ago and has survived the pole barn collapsing on it (barely) Briggs 5hp motor on it gets it up to about 21mph. I got her going about 24 on level ground with the first test after conversion. Still haven't even tested it enough to drain the battery. Drove it about 8-9miles on very hilly roads and it still did 22mph uphill on the way home.

Any tips or advice welcome. This was mostly a proof of concept and a way to test the power of this motor kit before I try to build something else with one. Been lurking here a while, thought i'd throw something of mine up to see what you guys think.

Any advice on a power meter for LifePo4? Will the controller just cut when the battery gets below a certain voltage? not a lot of documentation on these kits. <3

Just realized my picture is before adding the sprocket i ordered and bolting the motor down, I'll add some better pics of the completed mount with the wires all cleaned up as well.
