For the many that can't see sites like that because they require logins (or won't visit them on principle), perhaps you could post the actual article, pics, etc.

I like the concept a lot. It reminds me a lot of the DIY cargo bike mods that many people have done where they bolt an extra rear triangle into the dropouts of a standard or mountain bike to make a long tail cargo bike.The clever additions here are having that added triangle pivot at the location of the old dropouts and also creating a widened cargo area where the wheel goes when the bike is ridden in a shortened mode.
I've thought about building a long tail cargo bike in and the issue of storing the long bike is one of the things that has be hesitating. This might be a viable solution.
