1. Cost - $4. I work with computers, so all of these parts were in my "spare parts" crap, which I hoarded over the years.
2. Purpose of this project is to have compact, lightweight charger which I can throw in the back pack, when going away.
3. It's unfinished, as I'm waiting for the 100v/10A combo display, cost $4, from China to finish it and put it in the proper case.
But it works fine, I've already charged my battery 8 times.
4. Components - 3 Lenovo OEM laptop supplies, FRU 42T5000, 20 volt, 4.5A and one 16.5 volt, 4.5A too.
Without load I've measured 20.21v, 20.38v, 20.16v and 16.67v output, for a total of 77.4 volts.
One 12 volt, 120 mm desktop cooling fan and one 5 volt USB charger to power the fan.
5. I have 18S LG Li-ion 4.35 volt battery, which is, when fully charged, should be 78.3 volts.
This charger can do 77.4 volts. No complains there.
My battery has at least 200 cycles on it, so I'm pretty confident to charge it without using balancer.
Plus I can monitor charging progress on my EOS1420i charger, to make sure cells are balanced.
6. All Lenovo power supplies were removed from plastic enclosures, to ensure proper cooling.
7. Charger works fine for 3-4 hours, outputting 6 Amps, in the last hour it jumps to 9 Amps, for about an hour, also without major overheating.
8. Dims - 130mm x 130mm x 90 mm, weight about 400 g.

Enjoy :)
