Hi,

This is a memory from my youth. My brother went to MIT, graduating in 1953 (I think). They had a humor magazine called the "Technique." From it, I remember this little poem:

In fourteen hundred and ninety two,
Columbus sailed the ocean blue.
If you divide this number by two,
You'll have the number of watts in an electrical horsepower.

I was about 9 years old when I found this in his "Technique."

1 hp equals 746 watts X 2 = 1492
what the hell? you had to check his math to get the joke?

I hate to point out the obvious here but.... this is an epic rhyme failure...

Love it.

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Some poems rhyme.
Some don't.

There was a young woman from Bude,
Who went for a swim in the lake,
When a man in a punt,
Put his pole in her ear,
And said: "Oi, you can't swim 'ere, it's private!"

746, baby.

And each watt is more glorious when you're in that magical multi-kw zone.......well, that is when you are creating them. So if you think riding a 2kw ebike is a blast..... times that by about 100
