Hi there, I've been building an electric longboard, and have ran into a weird issue where my motor will occasionally run backwards, throwing me off. I found this website, and it seems like some of you have a lot more experience with brushless systems then I do. Some of you are even using the same motor as me, so hopefully I can gain some insight here.
This is my setup:
Motor: Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 5055 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=28139
ECS: 90A Boat ESC http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=28223
Transmitter: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=45311
...I am using a very cheap speed controller, but I looked on this site and found that some other people were using boat ecs's as well. Here is the programing guide for the speed controller: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uploads/154223259X652823X12.pdf
And here is the issue:

...as you can see, the motor sometimes decides to run backwards- even when the throttle is pulled back fully. This is despite the fact that I've got reverse turned off in my speed controller settings. I looked around this forum to see if anyone had a similar issue, but found nothing.
Does anyone have any idea as to the problem? Any help would be very much appreciated, so thanks in advance!
