Being creative at its finest  wahah looks good, did you already made a test ride?

ofcourse i did yesterday 1 and today 1 ride.
just rode 15 km yesterday and today 13.4 km.
with alot of climbing and the battery was still not empty (77v)
i think i can ride quite alot on 1 single charge.

Hi Louis (is David your brother) :D ,

Just read the whole thread, and I must say that I am pretty impressed of your work. You could startup a company you know, who designs and builds custom ebikes.. Not a lot of people in the Netherlands who do that kind of work.

What is your opinion about the MXUS, quality wise? Are the phase wires any good? Any difficulties with mounting the discbrake?

Thanks!

Johan (fellow dutchman)

hello johan.
haha maybe i am going to start a little buisness of making e-bike's
but about the mxus i would say they are good.
the motor is holding out fine just sometime's it is getting hot.
but the fase wire's aren't getting warm and i wanted a rear hydrolic disk brake so i have made the rear swing arm wider so i could put rings as speacers between the disk and the motor.
so the gap between the disk and the motor became bigger.

but so far no problems jet.

and also the motor already spoked is good but the angle of the spoke's is not the best you can have.
but the spoke's are so thick they wont go any where it think

@ 16 year old doing this kind of stuff? Thumbs up mate. Keep building stuff. Great, great great job for one that is just 16 years old.

Very impressed,i was complaining yesterday about making a bracket  that seems silly after seeing you build this frame.

I wish I was 16 again and ahead of the electric revolution like you are. Looks like there is a lot of fun ahead in life for both you and David. :D

hi guys,
thanks for the interest. so here is an little update....it is almost finished :D
here some pics of prainting the bike. did al by my self because my boss for my saturday job was to busy.

Good colors,im trying to get my head around the lines of your build.its awesome the work you put into it, but the rear swingarm looks off, dont be speeding around for the test rides.

Its the pivot points from the bottom bracket to the shock and swingarm mounts ah the heck with it.enjoy.ive never built a bicycle so i need to learn from you i guess.

hi,
how do you think it looks off?
i have mesured the bike. and as last i welded on the dropouts so it may look it is ofset. but i know it is perfectly straigth.(btw it took a sh#t load of time to get the wheels perfecly lined up....) :)
i am now rebuilding the battery and still need to solder the phase wires and halls then it is time for a good ride.

I know,i was thinking of the bottom bracket to front of the swingarm pivot point mounts.. only for safety at higher speeds.im learning through you now.

great looking bike - and without meaning to be patronising, awesome bike considering your age - you're 17, there's a lot of people with more than 17 years metal working experience aren't making bikes as nice as that :)

how do you find the head tube angle ?

mine was about the same as yours (going by pics) but I had to cut it off and change the angle a bit

before I changed it, it felt like I was leaning too far over the wheel and it made steering a little tricky :)

thanks for the comments.
the angel of the steering tube i got it from photos and just did it the same (no measuring just on the eye)

but,
i got a problem..
my 18 fet lyen isn't working and it makes a clicking soud when it turn it on.
can some one help me out? :(
here is the video so you can hear it. https://youtu.be/MxWcu_UWz6A

Hard to see where everything is going with the video, could it be your phase wires?

Hi louis,
Glad to see that you get the CA working.
Regarding your problem, have you checked the configurations of the CA? Low voltage cut, speed limit, amp limit, etc?
Because the cycle analyst can cut the throttle signal of the controller and the motor won't turn.

Also, have you tested without CA? And have you sure that the phase wires and hall wires are connected the right way?

Best Regards.

hi i haven't cheacked the confugatations in the ca.
but i do have replace 1 fet beouse i destriod it with a long bold
but i will check it thanks.

That's really bad.

I have a 12 fet controller with programing cable like this from EM3EV
I've made some mods to the controller:
- installed a temp sensor on the FET's
- installed PAS

If you are interested, i could send it to you for 80eur with free shipping.

hi, striker
thanks for the offer but i have send it back to lyen so he can fix it  (it will take al long while so i am thinking of buying a 15 fet greentime or so.) so i can ride :) and ps: the cycle analist works!

greetings louis

Awesome work Louis, a great first effort mate!

Hi thanks,
But once again i got problems.. :p
This time it is with chargers.
I got my self a Kingpan charger quite a while ago for my drift trike that runs of 48v.
At first i runned at 48v 30Ah lifepo4 but now i have converted it to lead (yes i know they are bad but they are new 28ah and do oke but saggg).
So i was charging them to see how high the voltage would go and saw i went to +-60v. So i disconected the charger and rode it quiqly to 12v per battery. And opent the controller to find the potentiometer but if found 3 of them and i don't know witch one i need to adjust.
So before i go wild on those poteniometers i will ask you guy for info firs.
Here are some pics. and i some one have some info i will be happy to look at it before going random

Greetings louis
PS: i have send the controller to lyen.
