How would you build an AATV,(amphibious 6 wheeler)?

Good to hear you're ok. Thanks for the update!

Great idea!

(Why didn't I think of that... I have at least a couple of hefty UPSs gathering dust.)

I can't take full credit for the idea. I was looking for a way to get 120 volt AC from the pack and someone on the EVDL suggested finding a used UPS. Seems as if everyone and their brother has these lying around but it took me months of searching and $160.00 to actually get my hands on one.

Rating, (1600 watts or higher), and not wanting to pay a fortune for a used one plus exorbitant shipping. I kept hearing people saying how they picked them up for free from work or something but was never able to stumble across a deal like that. Chances are good that one of the local colleges or businesses have some lying around with dead batteries but I couldn't make the hookup :?

Hello old thread :) After 12 years I upgraded the pack to lithium, 100ah LiFePO4 CALB cells.

3 of the 4 original Odyssey AGM's are still working well in other projects. I'm looking for a 16S cell monitor, don't need high and low cutoff, some balancing would be nice but not required, mainly I'd like to be able to see all the cell voltages as I'm driving. I've found this unit which will send data to a cell phone app

or this one with a screen but I'd need two of them to do 16 cells https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07797N9BG?
Are there better options available?
