It's probably the controller, not the mpotor that has a limit.

One way to speed things up is to install either a larger motor sprocket or a smaller axle sprocket.

Deff a possibility I didn't think about. The controller is a 24-48vdc controller and for 5k rpms the motor only needs 34volts. I played with the settings some more on the kelly (max torque and more sensitive throttle ) and once it stops raining I will test her out again.

Still holding up great. I built the battery pack much beefier then I needed. The batteries do not even get warm. I also balance charge at .5C after each use. It only gets ridden about once a month now.

Going to sell it and and build an electric beach kart next.
