Joby Motors Santa Cruz, CA

thanks joeben for the answers, these motors appear to have higher power density than nearly all anything else around.
its just unreal to see two of them taking Dale Kramer and his Lazair plane into the sky.. what would you say is the max winding temp you would run them to? - and could you let us know the rpm per volt and phase resistance of say the JM1S-4TD or JM1S-3TD?
thanks.

We keep the winding temperature below 90C. Some customers have run them hotter than this but until there is extensive testing at high temperature we suggest a maximum of 90C. The JM1S-3TD has a phase resistance of 7mOhms (measured this morning) and a 100% throttle speed with a 26x12 prop at 51V of 6800 rpm(last week) and a no load speed at 50V somewhere around 7500 rpm (I have not measured this recently).
