I'm building a 14s pack out of nissan leaf cells for my Zero XU. Unfortunately all the 14s chargers I see out there max out at only 8 amps. There is one that goes to 17A, but it doesn't allow for 240vac input, which means the J1772 plug I'll be using won't work.

Does anyone know of any PSU's or chargers that can ramp up to 58.8v for bulk charging? I plan on just pushing the voltage directly into a 100A charging capable BMS.

Thanks!

You can get a 100A charge at 58.8V with this setup.

that site looks like it has what I need, thanks

If you are willing to break down the pack into two units for charging, then series them for running...you can get an RC unit that charges at 30A or 40A.

The Junsi iCharger series has a duo 308 that is 30A, 8S X 8S, and the duo 4010 is 40A, 10S X 10S

honestly I wouldn't trust hooking a generic RC charger to a public EV charging system. There's just too much to screw up if I have to wire a crazy harness like that. My plan is just to get a J1772 Adapter with remote Pilot Box from Tucson EV to use as the communications link, then solder the cable ends directly to the 240VAC in on the charger.

As I recall, generic Mean Well chargers can be stacked for voltage and amps.

Meanwell HLG-600-xxA LED PSUs, adjustable voltage and current, weatherproof, 120/240VAC autoswitching input.

Series whichever ones you want to get the voltage you need, adjust to exact V as needed.

Parallel as many series sets as needed to get the current you're after.
