What do you think about new LG 18650 D1 3000mAh 4,35V
They are cheap US $3.92 / piece

Very high capacity due to 4,35V but higher internal resistance.
So this should mean more voltage sag if you build a 10p pack, each from both cells and drain it with 70A?

"new"? Date of testing shows december of 2011?

Also note that it's Ri is twice as high as the Samsung cell you're comparing it to.

As a side note: just because the testing was done at that high a voltage doesn't mean it's a good idea, or that it adds any significant capacity vs the amount of lifespan it takes away. You'd have to look up LG's actual specifications for that cell to find out what it *should* be charged to, as well as it's actual rated capacity. I note that the Rated A field on both testing charts is left blank.

Regarding capacity vs voltage: Perhaps if the Samsung cell were charged to 4.35V it'd get an extra Ah, too? (I doubt it, but without comparing the same levels on each cell it's hard to say).

Opps, sorry swapped the Ri figures now.
New was because I could not find any info on this board about them.
