Noisy Ultra M620 gears?

Just got a new Ultra based bike, and quite honestly, am not happy with what I think are noisy (metal) gears. My question is regarding the plastic gears used in the earlier motors (BBSxx). Would those work in the newer style M620 that comes with metal gears? If so, anyone source them lately?

I'm 70, and doubt seriously that this bike will ever be pushed hard enough or abused to the point I would damage plastic gears. If the older gears are interchangeable, any comments regarding Luna's plastic Ludicrous gears?

I've talked with a couple of people that should know what they are talking about now, and both agreed the gears are NOT interchangeable. FYI for those following along later. -Al
