Besides BBS (bafang), cyclone and tangent, are there any othe DIY low/mid power - mid drives that you all would recommend?

Depends on the space you have, weight restrictions, torque/power you need, etc.
If you look at my original CrazyBike2 drive, it's just using a simple brushed powerchair motor to drive the pedal chain. You could adapt the same thing to any regular bike, depending on your level of DIY skills.

This Tongsheng TSDZ2 is another retrofit kit. As you are from Denmark, maybe you're looking for an EU- legal drive. This one has 250W or 350W and torque sensing, similar to the Bosch Drive Unit. It's quite cheap and spare parts are widely available at pswpower.com

You do know the meaning of DIY ?....there are endless motors you could use !Dumsterdave said:
