Hi, I'm trying to program a Sevcon Gen4 Motor Controller using Sevcon's DVT software. I've got both an IXXAT USB-to-CAN V1 and V2 connector to establish a connection between my laptop and the Motor controller. Whenever I power the controller on and connect the USB-to-CAN V1 cable properly to the controller & my computer, the USB light stays solid green, but the CAN light blinks red. When I try with the V2 cable the USB is solid green, but the CAN light does not even turn on. I've been unable to find documentation online for what this error means. Additionally, when I try to see if there are any active faults in the DVT software, there are none. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed? I'm happy to clarify anything that may be missing from this description.

DVT version: 25.5
Tcl patch level: 8.5.18

What PC hardware?

USB ports / version / drivers can be an issue

We're running the DVT software on a Dell windows laptop w/ an i5 processor and 4 GB of ram. I think the USB ports are pretty standard for a windows laptop

What is the status of the CAN adapter on the DVT screen? Does it say online?

Nope, it can't find any faults and there is no communication on every Baud rate
