Smart BMS/app ?

I have a question regarding "smart bms" and apps that work with them.

I am more of a person that does not tinker with the setups with the battery (tinkering with the trike and trailer, yes). I do not build, I research for a quality builder and have them build for me. I have been having EM3ev build my current 2 batteries. The BMS is a smart bms. The question is ..... would installing their app "em3evbms" be worth while or not worth it.. would i get a benefit.

What kind of functions do you need?

To know if you would have any benefit from it, you would need to look at the app's capabilities, and see if any of them are things you need or want. If not, there is no benefit. If yes, then there is.

Even if you need nothing it offers, then if the BMS has the ability to monitor individual cell voltages (balance), it could be useful as a troubleshooting tool in the event of a problem, and you could install it then.
