Running a dual 2807 @ 15S lipo gets me to about 60kph. At this speed, a 52/11 gearing is just fine. You can buy any road crank with 52T chainring, but few of them actually have any chain guard, so essential for commuting. I briefly googled and found these options:

very cheap

I bought these. After about 300km the left crank came loose, and would be coming loose more frequently until it just rounded 300km ago. I replaced it with another left square taper crank laying around. Yesterday the right crank came loose too, and it will probably end up the same way the left one did. The bad thing is, Chainring is the same part as spider so it's not transferrable to another crank unless you just cut it all away.

This ebay seller has many different 5-arm 52T alloy rings.

Or you can buy this and use any double/triple crankset up to 52T.

Looking forward to other options from ES members.

TRIPLE COMP 10s crankset

I have one of these. 53t is about the limit of commonly available stock. After that it is custom order and difficult to find. Note that these are not compatible with FS MtB frames.

When speccing out a chainring cluster, keep in mind that the derailleur limit is about 16t to 23t between the high and low. Campy derailleurs have the best spread at 23t.

That crankset has no protection ring I'm afraid. Having to pull my trousers up everytime I ride is not very practical.

I use those reflective leg-wrapping velcro straps, and I wear quality bike shoes: Summer shoes that you don't need to lace, and "Lake" winter boots. If it rains I wear all-weather outer clothing, and layer as appropriate if it's cold.

You can always make (or adapt) your own chain guard if that is required :)
