I've been trying to figure out how to wire a new pack using hobbyking lipo and I'd appreciate any advice and comments. For the purposes of making a simpler diagram the pack I'm building is 8S6P and consists of premade 4S hobbyking lipo packs.
With the physical space I have this is the best arrangement I came up with so far:
In this arrangement three 4S packs are placed in parallel (to get a sub-group of 4S3P), then those 4S3P groups are placed in series to get 8S3P. Two sets of these in parallel form an 8S6P pack.
In the above diagram, is there an issue with the middle connections not being paralleled (the blue nodes)?
Here's how I'm thinking of doing the balance connections:
