I have already successfully converted two motorcycle to electric drive and now i will try my luck with bicycles :D
I love riding bikes, I made around 4000km per year. Fact is, I have ride over all hills and valleys in my nearby and I would like to increase my range by adding electric power to bicycle.
In first place this will still be man-powered bicycle, electric powertrain is only for steep hills or to help reach higher speed on flat...and to get me home when my legs fall off :D

I was thinking about carbon fibre monocoque full suspenssion frame, CrMo swingarm and mid drive system located on swingarm. 2kW of continous power, 1kWh of batteries, topspeed of 60km/h is enough and goal is to keep the weight under 25kg.

But I want to make hub-ready swingarm.
So I would like to now, what is necessary rear dropout width for using hubmotors with 8 or 9 speed cassettes. Of course not for cromotor, something with continuous power around 2kW will be enough.
