Came across this thread when I was experiencing the exact same problem after installing a 750W TSDZ2 on my bike. I'm an electrical engineer and beartaco's post from a year ago hit home. I wanted a really clean installation and had taped all of the cables together in a bundle. I also stuck all of the extra length from both the power cable and the controller cable into the metal casing on the bottom of the battery. So the power, controller, and speed sensor cables were tightly coupled together. I separated the cables and moved the controller and speed cables away from the power cable. Now everything works as expected. High current pulses in the power cable (transmitter) was creating unintended noise in the controller cable (antenna) and that more than likely corrupted the torque sensor data.
