So every time I go to charge either my LiFePO4 or my RC lithiums, both 4S, the first, or maybe its the last cell, the one first in the list, always overcharges about 0.3-0.5 volts over the others. I switched the cell order and tried 3P to make sure it wasnt the cell. I tried to discharge them down with STORAGE mode then bring them back up, still doesnt balance during balance charging. I know thats not off by much, but it seems like it should be more accurate.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this a re-calibration issue?

Thanks

A related question: I always expected the higher voltage cells to "naturally" balance out the lower ones over time, am I misunderstanding basic battery/electrical characteristics? I always thought the higher charge flows into the lower charge (?)

If the cells are in parallel, that will always happen.

If they are in series, there is no way for it to happen.
