Vendor: EVComponents

I haven't, myself (other than very occasionally removing EVAMichael's spam from discussion threads), but a quick poke around shows a few interactions, but not much under "EVComponents"; it's nearly impossible to try with EV Components. :(

from this summer, but it doesn't seem to say exactly when the cells were bought from them.

from 2021 bought a charger from them

Well I finally got my shipment:
16 each Headway 38120S 10Ah cells with 2 hole bus bars and plastic holders.
https://www.evcomponents.com/headway-38120s-10ah-lifepo4-cell.html

They were ordered on 28 September 2022 and delivered by FEDEX on 21 October 2022.
Purchased and paid for via PayPal
They have a manufacturing date of "2022-09-01"
Surprise: the cheap bus bars are steel.
I guess I should have ordered some M6 x 8mm screws and flat washers as well.

I note that EV Components does NOT provide a cell data sheet as required by:
Title 49 Subtitle B Chapter I Subchapter C Part 173 Subpart E § 173.185, "Lithium cells and batteries"
https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-49/subtitle-B/chapter-I/subchapter-C/part-173/subpart-E/section-173.185
"Beginning January 1, 2022 each manufacturer and subsequent distributor of lithium cells or batteries manufactured on or after January 1, 2008, must make available a test summary. The test summary must include the following elements: ..."

... perhaps as a Chinese vendor that they are exempt from that requirement.

Michael Cheung of EV Components said that there was a delay in processing the order because of the Chinese Holiday (1 Oct to 7 Oct 2022). I was getting very worried because the EV Components web page uses bogus URLs for at the bottom of their web page.
