what would a high discharge LIFEpo4 low watthour battery loke like (just to go up hill)

As we're trying to explain too small of a battery amp hours wise will create problems depends how many amps you're using it at can you please tell us about your motor and your controller and that will tell us the battery and you're probably will have to weld the thing up because there is no easy cheesy ways out.
And the trade off with lifeo4 about being safe is it's big and heavy. It also lasts twice as long if you know how to take care of it if not no battery will last very long.
Decide on what motor and what voltage and then you decide on the battery and how far you want to go or AH.
Or settle for the speed of a 36 volt pack.

Wh/km is highly dependent on the speed you go and the conditions you're riding under, your riding style, terrain, wind, aerodynamics of the bike or vehicle, weight, etc.

For instance, my SB Cruiser takes about twice that 20wh/km just to maintain 20mph on level ground, and lots more on a hill (can't remember how much, but certainly more than twice it's normal usage).

My much more aerodynamic CrazyBike2 took a little more than half that 20wh/km for the same ride, if I rode long enough distance without a lot of stops and starts, but if I was just commuting to work it was a short ride with a bunch of stops and starts, so the weight meant taking more energy to do those, and it would then be close to the 20wh/km for usage.


So...highly dependent on a lot of factors.
