G'day peeps :D Would it not be sensible to limit top speed assisted to 25 (or 30 ish kmh) and have no limit of power? That way, people who live where there are long, steep hills (with strong head winds) can get up them relatively easy and at the same time, not exceed the speed that motorists...

Sam, he won't at 3.6V - LiPo is fine down to around 3.3V although I would never recommend it and only take mine down to 3.8V. FWIW, I run the 8S on a 21V cutout but I also monitor my cell voltages. I don't see a problem with 6S then. I use at most 5.8Ah and as little as 2.2Ah out of my pack on...

I would think a test ride would be in order ... of the bike of course. You need to check for "saggy" suspension and "loose" chassis amongst other things :P I'm surprised though that another West Aussie hasn't chimed in yet, but the jester is probably nesting. Stopping now ... (Sorry sc)...
