The normal vesc tool app has profiles just the same as you mentioned for the metr app. The flipsky "pro" version had Bluetooth built in that you can use the app and profiles with or a cheap nrf51 adapter for the older controllers.
You can set a % of current or watts and a speed limit for each...
I've got a 84100 on its way to me, just passed customs.
Does the aux out not work?
Any other issues to watch out for? I'm currently running a 75100 and bought this as a spare but gonna test it out when it arrives to make sure all OK as had another 75100 that blew a mosfets as soon as i plugged...
Is Squareline Studio fairly straight forward for lgvl design? As I'm wanting to design a custom page to load with vesc tool on an old Android I'm gonna temporarily use as a display. I'm wanting to design one that includes a gauge for battery amps top as how it's displayed currently on vesc tool...
I think my throttle (adc1) is at 0.30s and haven't noticed any issues. Do you have filtering enabled for the signal as I found that really important to get a smooth pas signal.
Glad it came it handy. 👍
I look forward to seeing more when you get the chance, I'm fairly new to using a vesc with my bbshd but been really impressed and while the vesc tool is handy my old bbshd display is the only thing I miss from the old controller and yours is easily the best combination...
Look forward to seeing the repository for this as gotta be the smartest looking display I've seen for a vesc. Looks perfect with perhaps only one exception, Bluetooth uart forwarding. As I have my bbshd's pas sensor on one of my uarts and a nRF51 module on the other.
Not sure if your familiar...
Had a mosfet blow on my controller so I've got a 75100 being delivered tomorrow, been looking at upgrading to an external controller for a while but needed something ASAP to get the bike on the road again, couldn't afford a bac855 etc that quickly and didn't fancy risking the bbshd to a generic...
Haven't finished the batteries cover yet as waiting for some sockets and a voltmeter to arrive but wedged it in to take for a test ride and was hitting over 1800w's and felt like it was holding the higher speeds a lot easier than my 48v battery. I'm running bbs-fw so it does 33a's. I'm torn...
Well that's one battery done and labeled up ready for the bms. Just need to wrap it up and put a bit of padding before finshe the exterior of the box
It's a 15s6p 15ah, the cells are 10a max cont and so I've tried to make sure the cell interconnects would be up to the job but at the moment...
Ah OK I used to do the same with my 48 battery to get it up to 52v.
I've changed to a full suspension now though so had to build a battery to fit in the frame so I've gone for a 15s6p. Just need to finish up the bus bars and charge it up.
I was trying to find the link but I'm usinga fork of this that included programming to keep the chain going at very low power above 10mph in order to reduce chain slap etc.
Ill reinstall the standard custom firmware later to see if it stops it, be a shame if it's the cause as was a handy feature.
Thank you, you've given me something to try in the morning. Hadn't even in thought of the throttle, its a cheap twist throttle rom amazon. I'll get back to you tomorrow. 👍
