A slotted axle. :? The GNG big block has built in gear and if you cut the gear the axle still long enough. How are you going to fit a sprocket int that axle?

That is GNG gen 1 small block motor, you can buy one from lightingrods, but you can't directly drive the rear wheel because you need more reduction gear ratio. The big motor me0907 can drive the rear wheel directly because it is a motorcycle mid motor and is powerful, but fitting in a bicycle...

:shock: You know you are in Canada, we have so many rules regulations here. If you import a high power one, it is hard to get it register and insured. You will also having hard time finding one that is 500w and under, all the scooters here are specially made/labeled to meet Canadian regulations.

Good idea to modify the motor shaft. 5/8 sprockets or very easy to find. That reminds me people modifying GNG v1 to chain drive. You can run the motor and put a file on the shaft to grind down (Can't find the page though :( ) But cutting a keyway would be more difficult.

I thought it would be similar to the MeanWell power supply with voltage and current mod. This one is not to use as bulk charger and must be used with other controller. Good/bad thing is that I didn't win the bid on an ebay one. :mrgreen:

Yep, seems 14mm ID sprockets are hard to find, most common ones are 1/2 and 5/8. Other people either build their own or weld another on the old one.
