    Hiboy S2 Max Mod log

Finally made some progress on the build. Brakes: I finally got the brake bracket made and mounted on the scooter, I still need to powdercoat it. I also received the new front wheel so I’ve been 3d printing different spacer heights to get the wheel and rotor where I want them to sit. The new...

    Hiboy S2 Max Mod log

Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted last. My last project was a razor rx200 that I converted to a brushless/lipo setup. That scooter had great torque but it was small and didn’t have the range I needed. It also ate #25 sprockets like tic tacs. Here’s my new project, the Hiboy s2 Max. I...

    Razor Rx200 commuter/ripper

@skippo yes, you can make the mount without a mill. I designed mine to have a lot of play in motor position. Good luck with your build. @calab I’m 5’7. What I meant by too big is: too big to be carrying around everywhere. The Rx200 is the perfect size to fit in the trunk of a car. It is also...

    Razor Rx200 commuter/ripper

@skippo I haven’t seen an e100 up close, can’t say for sure. I have modified the forks of another e200 a while ago on another project, I might steal those soon. As far as a 30A e bike controller, you won’t be blown away by performance. It’ll likely have the same top speed as a 180a esc, but the...

    Razor Rx200 commuter/ripper

@skippo Thanks for the reply. Yes you can run these motors on a cheap ebike controller, but you will need to fit them with hall sensors . Below is a video I shot a while back of an outrunner running on an ebike controller. You can find some good write ups and videos on how to do this on the ES...

    Razor Rx200 commuter/ripper

@latex awesome man, good luck with the build. These scooters are really fun when they're this light and powerful. I've been pretty hard on it and its held up nicely. I was able to get the watt meter hooked up for a quick look at some of the vitals of the system. The street in front of my house...

    Razor Rx200 commuter/ripper

Yo! So it's been a while since I've posted or built something, but I'm back. After a lot of working from home, I'm back to commuting to SF, so that means I need a scooter to get from the parking lot to the train and from the train to work, plus ripping around SF on my lunch. I still have the...

@E5j7r it's a rear fender for a honda crf 50. I think I got it on ebay for like $10. The front fender was on ebay as well, it was a little expensive, but not that expensive. Maybe they don't make them any more. I was able to put in a few hours on the chain guard and new peg mount. I was also...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

@amberwolf ya it's also sharp af. @yermommy thanks for the note. That was a temp idea that has been scrapped. I should have the new setup done this week. By next weekend I should have a chain guard and new roller configuration. I'm also modifying the peg mount to be stronger and out of the way...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Finally got all the parts in and did the last bit of fitment to go for a test ride. So far I'm pretty happy with the results. Top speed is around 44 mph, pulled just under 12kw, 350A phase, 100A battery. There is still some tuning and some tweaks that need to happen, but pretty happy so far.

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Got the waterjet parts today and was able to get the motor mount welded up. I also made a spacer for the rear hub which will shift it outward 30mm to get me in the ballpark of where I want the chainline to be. After some mock up I got the motor clamped and bolted onto the bike. I'll going to...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Made some progress on the build, but still waiting for the rear sprocket, hardware, and steel for wrap up. The swingarm has been extended to 8 1/4" it pretty solid for a test ride but will require more work for the abuse it will see. The waterjet sides also weren't done so I have the acrylic...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

@ trazor thanks man! I wrapped up the cad on the side mounts this weekend and managed to make an acrylic version to get an idea of how it will look. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and am planning on getting them waterjet so that I can make the mount out of aluminum. There will be some...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Well the motor has just arrived which was lightning fast. I immediately hooked it up to the Mobipus for an rpm test. I was able to get it to spin over 4,600 rpm which is what QS is advertising. Just spinning it on the stand you can tell this motor is an absolute beast, I really can't wait to get...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Well got the Big Block sold, on to the next one. Placed an order with QS for the 138 2000w mid drive motor with 12t 428 sprocket. You know what they say "No QS Motor, No super EVs!". I think I'll finally be happy with the bike if I can make it work. Power wheelies should be no problem and hill...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Made a bit of progress with it all, mainly in getting the pegs mounted which is so much better than the pedals! A bit of bad news with the build. I've come to the conclusion that the motor is just a little too small for my power needs. The motor performance isn't too bad, it's capable of putting...

Mid-drive motor on an enduro bike frame

Yeah don't skimp on the battery, that's the heart of the bike. It's a bit pricey but I was ok with paying because I didn't have a spot welder at the time. If you want to save some cash you could build it yourself if you feel comfortable enough. I build my packs now, but it's kind of nice to just...

mcclead, welcome to the forum. You can run a 2.5" wide tire on that rim, I've run a few different types. Right now I'm running a shinko 241 and it's 2.75" wide. I've also run a dunlop knobby (70/100-19), you can run just about any motorcycle tire that's 19". Hope that helps. Well I was able to...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Made some more progress on the bike this past week. I've been putting in more hours working form home so spare time has been a bit more limited, especially with the family home as well. In the past week I was able to get the motor mount fully welded and got the new mounting holes drilled out...

    Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Made some progress on mounting the motor. I was able to do most of the machining and fabrication to mock up the motor, but it is all only tack welded for final fitment. I'm hoping to be able to keep the pedals to look the part and the pic below shows how I hope to tackle the problem of the chain...
