    My TSDZ2 Build.

The weather is finally better, not such strong winds or gusts, not wet and around 18 Deg C so I got the chance to finally test out the new Firmware and it made a difference, still not quite as strong as a Gen I 50 Nm Boach but not bad. I set the speed limit to 27 Km/hr. It's livelier and it...

    Bosch Gen 1 50 Nm VS TSDZ2 @ 52v

From what I read on the other thread is that the issue is that there is a good chance of it getting bricked.

    Bosch Gen 1 50 Nm VS TSDZ2 @ 52v

I have no idea what firmware the 850c display came with.

    Bosch Gen 1 50 Nm VS TSDZ2 @ 52v

Thanks for the link. It should work without updating the display shouldn't it ? if it does I might not update the display and just keep it on the stock display firmware with the v20.1C.2 update 2 on the motor and think about getting the 860 display and then updating the motor to the latest...

    Bosch Gen 1 50 Nm VS TSDZ2 @ 52v

The 850c display is not recommended to flash and it's not supported so I can't find this firmware for the display ?

    Bosch Gen 1 50 Nm VS TSDZ2 @ 52v

Sorry, only seeing this post now. My 850c display does not show the power. I have flashed the motor with the v20.1C.2 firmware but can't flash the 850c display so will have to make do without power meter. Anyway, at 36v the Bosch is more powerful, a lot of power is turning to heat with the...

    My TSDZ2 Build.

I have the v20.1C.2 Firmware installed and ready to go, can't flash the 850c display of course but it already worked with the motor so we'll see how it rides, I don't know when because the weather has been poor lately, mist, drizzle and very windy so It's not weather I really want to go out in...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Thanks for the reply, so if I change the display to only give me 4 modes will this work fine with the new FW ? I suppose that's all I really need anyway and battery + speed. Where's the best place to get the 860 display and can it be flashed like the controller or has it to be done a different...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Hi All, I successfully flashed my TSDZ2 with the v20.1C.2 update 2 FW, I have the 850c display, is it possible to flash this with this firmware ? and if so where do I get the dispalay FE with instructions ? Currently I have 4 modes as set with the java configurator but there's 5 modes on the...

    My TSDZ2 Build.

The TSDZ2 definitely is not an 80 Nm motor, I knew from the beginning. The lack of speed limit might give the illusion of more power but this is not the case when I get to the big hills. I don't think it's cooked, it feels the same as it was from ride No.1 Same hill from the first ride meant...

    My TSDZ2 Build.

No idea what cadence I was pushing, but there was output from the motor. The Bosch can output more power at a slower cadence. The 80 Nm torque quoted from the TSDZ2 is nonsense.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I have an 850C display, can it be updated with this firmware ? or what's the best FW to get now ? Also where is a good place to get the cables for programming the motor and display ? Thanks.

    CYC PHOTON

The haibike cost 2500 Euro's back in 2013 which was reasonable enough considering the quality of the bike itself. The motors are OEM only probably because Bosch can't be arsed dealing with us DIY'ers lol. A bike with an 85 Nm Bosch is really expensive, you're probably talking at least 4000...

    CYC PHOTON

Depends where you live maybe, In small countries like Ireland it's common for example to have automatic gear box sent to another country to be fixed or a parts exchange, that's just one of many examples.

    CYC PHOTON

No not cheap but you know what you're getting and you know the service is there if you need it, parts + they are very reliable. + Bosch and Brose are big brands especially Bosch.

    CYC PHOTON

Sounds quiet but what's it like up a steep hill under load ?

    CYC PHOTON

Yikes, 950 USD for photon + 23% vat = 1,065 Euro's excluding import duty and courier fees, wow, the Government really rip people off here. That's 1,167 USD. Think I'll be trying the open source firmware for the TSDZ2 first lol.

    CYC PHOTON

Watching again, it's quite loud. Yes, it seems like they need to fine tune the torque sensing system a bit. Think it's overkill for my needs and wallet lol and it's just too loud. I wonder how the Photon will compare to it and to the TSDZ2.

    CYC PHOTON

Expensive motor. Good performance though, does it get hot ? I wonder what it's like to pedal without power, that's important to me.

    CYC PHOTON

I wonder now how much more powerful is this motor vs the TSDZ2 because after just fitting the kit and 52v a couple of days ago and taking the Bosch out today the 50 Nm Gen I Bosch is notably more powerful on steep hills. + it hardly even gets luke warm, the TSDZ2 will be very hot. The Bosch is...

    Bosch Gen 1 50 Nm VS TSDZ2 @ 52v

On a steep climb today with the 36v Bosch I noticed it was a notable amount easier than the TSDZ2 running at 52v. The climb was around 16-20% at the steepest and it was easier with the Bosch and not only that, it has more power at slower cadence, you can hear the motor spin faster than the...

    My TSDZ2 Build.

Just back from the test with the Bosch and as I suspected it's notably more powerful than the Bosch, incredible. The TSDZ2 is rated as 80 Nm ? absolute horse shit. Bosch is rated as 50 Nm and it kicked it's ass and not only that, the casing of the Bosch was hardly even luke warm. What would...

    My TSDZ2 Build.

No slow grinding, don't want to be pedalling faster than I was today which I consider too fast because the motor obviously hasn't the grunt, I'm used to mid drive so I know how to use the gears. I'd say that 80 Nm torque figure is nonsense, I'll know more later when I take the Bosch back to...
