Just answering my own question. Thanks to Alex, I have the pinout now for the BMS connector on the controller end. The picture below shows an inside of a connector where soldering goes.

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

So, I have a problem. I tried searching this thread with no luck. I have ripped the BMS connector off the controller side due to ridiculously short cables that Adaptto does and obviously my lack of carefulness. Does anyone have a pinout for the BMS connector on the controller side? Thanks in...

18650 spot welding -how to- ULTIMATE REPOSITORY

I am in the process of building a new battery pack for my Q76R frame and MAX-E. I calculated that I can easily fit 180 cells using spacers. That will give me a nice pack of 20S9P. Given that a single VTC4 can burst at 30A, nickel won't cut it. I tried various options: - Solder copper wires to...

Go kart build: motor shaft types, chain and sprockets

Thanks. Simple is best. I'll go with 19mm shaft with a keyway, I believe they are 3/16" (4.76mm) keyways. Given the above, there are rear sprocket matches for different chains, so that won't be a problem.

Go kart build: motor shaft types, chain and sprockets

Hello, I am starting a new EV project, which is to build a rather powerful go kart. I have started looking for a 20kW+ BLDC motor, I am leaning towards Revolt RV-160pro. However, I need your help to determine what sort of motor shaft type I should go for? Revolt can make a custom motor shaft...

Adaptto BMS Battery Pack Connections / Configurations

Hi All, I just built a temporary 13s14p li-ion pack for my new ebike. I have an Adaptto MAX-E with BMS. After reading online, looks like Adaptto BMS only supports an even number of parallel groups, as in 12s, 14s, 20s, etc. I am planning on building a much more powerful pack later on, but right...

Wobbly wheel issue with my HS3540

It does not seem to. I had to push the bearings on when I was changing them. I guess I will have to take it apart again and double check everything. Any recommendations on the bearings I should buy? Any good brands? Thanks!

Wobbly wheel issue with my HS3540

I had this issue before I changed the bearings. That was the reason of changing them. I definitely got the right size of the bearings and installed them properly. But thanks, I will double check my spokes. I have a suspicion that something else is loose, maybe on the side where the cassette is...

Wobbly wheel issue with my HS3540

Well I am no expert in wheel building, but the spokes aren't loose. The thing is that I can move the wheel side to side by my hand and I can feel that the movement is at the axle level. It feels that the whole motor shifts to one side and comes right back as I move the wheel, if that makes...

Wobbly wheel issue with my HS3540

Hi folks, I have ridden my Crystalyte HS3540 for over 4000km without a problem, but recently I noticed some movement in my rear wheel at its axle. It feels wobbly, especially when riding slowly. The wheel seems to move side to side a little. So I changed the bearings of my hub motor, but the...

Can somebody replace bearings for my HS3540 in the UK?

Hi people, Just recently, after 4k kilometres I noticed that my read hub motor is a little wobbly at low speeds. Initially I thought it was my rear tire, but it turned out to be the bearings. I am just wondering whether somebody could repair my rear motor and replace bearings? I live in...

    Sensor or Sensorless Controller...?

As far as I remember it was not an option, he just sent me one. For me there is no difference, I thought I was going to run my motor at higher amperage, but I am running it on 35-45A peak and it's more than enough.

    Sensor or Sensorless Controller...?

I have got the same controller, but mine is "overclocked", Lyen upgraded, so it has different FET afaik. Lyen told me that RShunt value is 1.3333 and that seems to match what I use and what I put back while charging. So I guess it makes sense to try rshunt 2.0.

    Mongoose Rockadile ALX Ebike

I am a pretty heavy rider (but getting in to shape slowly :-) ), so on a flat I get 55km/h max with 18s RC Lipo. I guess torque depends on your weight. From a dead stop it does not have much torque for me, but much lighter riders tried my bike and the initial torque is substantially higher...
