    The thumb throttle I got with my kit can be used on either the left or right side (Mar 14 production serial #). There is a groove on both sides of the clamp for the wire to reside in depending on what side it is mounted.

    I'm installing a BBS02 for the first time, and have run into a snag (see photo). There seems to be a gap between the fixing plate and the motor unit after being (seemingly) fully inserted into the BB. This is on a Norco Storm with 68 mm BB. Is this normal?

    This is really interesting. Have you tried to run with just 5AH? With less batteries on board, your C rate would go up as you are sucking electrons from fewer packs, and I wonder how that would affect a) voltage sag and b) your overall efficiency.

    I also suspect this. What's interesting is that it is showing a similar top speed to the 750W verison. So if you're cheap and want a lower rated current output battery, you might be able to achieve the same top speed with both the 500W and 750W versions -- of course with increased pedalling.

    I'm curious about this statement. How do you initially balance a lipo battery without a balancing charger? Or can we make the assumption that new from the factory they are fairly close, and will eventually balance with a BMS?
