    Error code 03

Using a Q100C rear motor and a shark battery with a built-in sinewave controller, I’ve run into a spot of bother lately with one of my two identical bikes. It runs for 6-10km then stops, flashing error code 03 which appears to have something to do with the hall sensor or something. If I let it...

    Fabrication error: wrong PAS connector?

Yes, it does look like 5 or indeed 6 but when one looks close up it turns out there are only 4 actual pins. I do wonder how they managed..?

    Fabrication error: wrong PAS connector?

So I’m building a third bike with the same equipment as every other time; namely a ”Shark” frame battery with an integrated controller. I ordered this from bmsbattery.com, nothing unusual about that. However.. as far as I can tell, they’ve put the wrong connector for the PAS coming out of the...

    BBS01/02 - 250w or 350w on lower setting?

Yes, well the definitions around wattage are rather baffling to begin with. When I started looking into ebikes I assumed that when it said 250 watts, that would be the maximum power it would use. The truth appears to be hovering around twice that power. I mean, I can bloody well read from my...

    BBS01/02 - 250w or 350w on lower setting?

I’m getting a Bafang mid drive you see, and after burning out my old Q100 hub motor there’s an amount of doubt surfacing in my mind with regards to safety margins(heat-wise). Reading about the mid drive, it seems there have been incidents of the controllers conking out when push comes to shove...

Throttle gives more power than PAS, why?

Aah, I see..! Sterling answers, thank you! Odd thing though, it was already set at the highest level. But not only that, level 6 was represented as an 8. It went from 0-5 then skipped 6 and 7. Presumably just a bug. Anyhow, there seems to be some other explanation lurking. Further suggestions?

Throttle gives more power than PAS, why?

I’m running a new rig; a Q100 with a bog standard integrated controller you get with the classic frame battery. https://bmsbattery.com/controller/698-16567-sine-wave-controller-for-09-case-controller.html#/42-voltage-36v/137-color-black It rather baffled me somewhat yesterday when I noticed...

    Front fork too flimsy?

Ah, yes. I should of course have mentioned I would be using the 8Fun SWXK5, 36v/250w. What kind of punch does that one pack?

    Front fork too flimsy?

So I got myself a new commuter and headed for a place where they laced the back wheel for my previous e-build to discuss with them how the wheel for my new bike should be done, me this time opting for the front rather than the back. Now, he suggested that I might not want to have the motor in...

    8Fun gears/clutch broken or what?

Thanks, seems reasonable enough. I'm in talks with greenbikekit and they keep insisting that I check and recheck the controller, which appears to me like an unlikely culprit for this problem from my point of view, albeit as a novice. Will I be needing some tool one normally wouldn't find in a...

    8Fun gears/clutch broken or what?

Hi, I have an 8Fun rear hub motor, the SWXH. Thing is, I've been using it without the battery pedaling to work for the entirety of the winter. The battery broke you see and the old body was getting overly disposed to the adipose so I decided to just pedal on until spring and get a new battery...
