    Swap SWXK Guts into Another Motor Housing?

    Hey guys, I found a bike that has a bafang SW series motor on it but has a 3 pin connector on it (I'm guessing no hall sensors), while my controller has 9 pins and requires halls. I have a SWXK with 9 pins on it - can I swap the rotor/wiring out of that motor and into the new bikes wheel?

    I agree with pwd - I'd choose option B "replace one side with the same connectors" Pick which connector(s) you like best and go with those.

    You can ask the insurance company about the legal power limits and how it would affect your policy, but I agree with dogman, I don't think you'd have trouble getting them to pay out if it was stolen. You would want to make sure they have a fair value for it before signing the policy though...
