Can I route wires around TSDZ2 motor?

If I can route my wires under/around my TSDZ2 I can avoid having to use extensions. Here is a picture of the setup. But I am concerned about melting the wires. Is this a valid concern? If so, how can I protect the wires from melting?

Thanks,

Peter

I would be more concerned about damage to the wires from snags, rocks, water and mud than from heat. Along with all of the above hazards they are getting plenty of air cooling.

You don't say what power you are running the TSDZ2 at? Broadly speaking though, unless you're running the motor at silly assist levels/750w, then I really can't see there being enough heat on the motor's outer casing to cause an issue, and even then, I can't envisage there being enough heat to melt cable sheathing.

As others have said, the bigger risk is from snagging of the wires from rocks etc. but if you're just riding on the road or well levelled tracks, then the risk of damaging the cables is greatly reduced.
