I have been waiting for an actual financial system reckoning for twenty years now, but it seems too far-fetched that such a thing would be intentionally implemented now or anytime soon. That would imply a coordinated effort by plutocrats and/or politicians to inflict a huge beatdown on the rich-- which, while necessary, is the opposite of everything they have tried to accomplish in living memory.

The people in charge seem to have as much moral sense and long term strategy as coyotes. I don't think there is a plan.

I think the virus was an opportunity for them. last September repo was 30 billion/month and I think it was upto 1 trillion a night last month. march4 corona wasn't an issue in the Feds beige paper 3 weeks later they wanted 2 trillion for corona. let me find it

Routine - Stay up as late as possible, like 4am or 5am. Go to sleep and wake up at 12:30pm.
On the computer all day, lazy I know. Snacking all evening, but trying to lay off that.
Should be fixing toilet, cleaning garage, organizing utility room and office.
I'm lazy.

How much longer will this gong show china virus go on for?

we were both up late last night, remember coming on here thinking what the heck is mark doing up its gotta be 3am there.lol
i went out this afternoon and the homeless are everywhere, as in theyre back begging for change at street lights and store fronts. stopped at my local bike shop, theyre open again, no tires yet but I got some pads for my BB7 brakes. fair amount of traffic on the roads. it was cold today had some hail, yesterday was snow though
saw an ad on craigslist for operators so I fired off a resume, im kind of done with this, getting stir crazy
 
What kind of government doesn't get the homeless sheltered at a time like this?

Idiotic, just commandeer cheap hotels, not like they're even bust!

I almost agree. Really failed to help women minorities and immigrants enough if at all, way too business-friendly, total hawk militarily.

Can't really take credit for the huge LGBT advances, but I'll give him that.

Basically almost as bad as Clinton.

But both of them were the best since Carter, pretty low bar in Amerika.

cheap hotel on skid row is 2 grand a month, the problem is you have to lock them up or they just come back. I thought I read BC was giving them free drugs to use because the supply chain is broken?
maybe BC ran out of free drugs? and theyre back on the streets.
 
Cities near me just tell them they may not get back in if they go out, food is brown-bagged in, so far working OK.

Hardest part is finding city employees to staff all the shifts, only paying $20/hr
 
we have a case in our prison system now, in the article it said everyone that gets brought to the jail is quarantined for 2 weeks before being released. im thinking that's what happened to the homeless, they got quarantined in jail for 2 weeks and theyre getting released back onto the streets now so they've reappeared.
 
Been a volunteer working with the homeless. When they go to the shelter they tend to be lying head to foot, elbow to elbow. Maximization of space. Now you see pictures in the paper where so many are out in the parking lot with boxes painted for them to be spaced, literally 7 times as much space empty as occupied.

So a Catholic Church shelter in Nevada had a homeless person turn up with Corona, so the government shut it down. By that logic all the hospitals should have shut down long ago. . . .
 
The outbreak in S. Korea started in a Church. Texas is still open. Florida is closed to all but cruse ships. So come to Texas cruse ship to Florida. Our worst out breaks are in the nursing homes, have one 3 miles from me with 50 sick C19, hard to tell if they were on a cruse or just went to church. Much more likely they went to the Casino in a bus.
 
Nursing homes have been hotspots forever.

In recent decades including for every STD that exists, extremely high rates.

Don't say eeww, we're all going to get that old with not much else to do. If we're lucky :cool:

Heard today, that some place is housing the bums in motel rooms. Somewhere in cali I think it is. I wonder what percentage of rooms will be trashed.
