Don't think we will ever get to know Luke..I just checked the date of the burn out part of this post. Lowracer has not been here on forum for a long long time now. I have a PM for him sitting in my outbox for over 18 months. I asked about the splines in june 2012..and now this thread has been resurrected again..still no sign of LR. But I am with you on thinking something else was the cause of the motor burn up with low power levels...but again..fully stalled ..but only a 'little' 12 FET controller.
He says 55Amp in ..65 amp per phase..at 37 volts..umm...phase amp setting seems low for a 55 amp input.Wonder if he meant controller phase setting was 3 x 65 = 195 amp..umm ...but still 37 volt and 55 amp in to controller ..still only 2kW.
Even fully stalled..surely he would not have just sat there with throttle WOT and not moving.....but if he did..even with false combo..expect the controller to give out
