Looking hard at one of these
from Madertech but I would like to keep the battery indicator lights if its at all possible. Are there any throttles that are a simple plug and play replacement for the 24v Currie OEM throttle?

Also does anyone have any experience with this particular upgrade kit?

Thanks for the link etriker would it be hard to connect one of those to the new controller?

this is the throttle that came with the bike

notice that it has pas/tag function that I guess I will have to lose and battery led lights. The difference is that the OEM throttle is 24v and since I am installing this

I know I need a 48v throttle in order to still be able to use the battery life leds but the differences in the connectors is what has me confused.

Will I have to change connectors on one of those 48v throttles or can I just plug it into the connector that comes on the controller?
And if I have to change the connectors will I have to solder anything?
Im not really equipped for that

You should check out these guys.

I upgraded my currie to 36 volts and bought controller and throttle from them.

World of difference. And runs hot now too. LOL
