Nice find. Makes me more motivated in keeping the setup. I've been very happy with the cyclone motor. Mounting hardware is crap, so is the freewheel. Everything else has been reliable for 3 seasons. I looked at the gears last year. They looked fine to me. I don't plan to mess with it till it breaks, the lubricant they used was some black sticky grease. It seems to work well. Everything was covered in it. I will be putting a Nuvinci drive this year on it. Will be nice to get rid of the shifting.

I saw the gears the other day also!! I thought steel gears were what the e-go kits had upgraded in them? Are all cyclone gearheads got metal gears?

Or were e-go getting those gears hardened?

They are all metal. It's a fairly rugged gearbox.

KFONG their is a company i have found on ebay called AFT who are selling what looks similar to the cyclone kit, but they have an upgraded freewheel based on the heavy duty ACS crossfire thats better then the sickbikes ENO freewheels that i wan't to try out on my next freewheel failure.

I just saw recently they will be releasing a HDUTY bracket as well it seems ?
