What makes good brakes? Pistons, rotor or feedback?

How does m615 compare to zee?

I was using the m595 (slightly older deore model, probably about the same as the m615) on the front of my 55kph 90lb ( +160lb aggressive rider) ebike for quite a while. Sufficient, but not quite enough for my liking. Never had any fading issues, but just not enough power. Was never able to even lift the rear wheel. Slapped the zee on there and it's at least double the power with much less pull effort... even with the less powerful stock resin pads, it performs great. Both brakes have excellent modulation.

Well the brake issues are settled. Found a set of Hope Mono 6 Ti and new seals and rougher pads. Front rotor 242 mm floating, rear rotor 203 mm floating. Braided hoses, I hope that will return a healthy brake feel. Theoretically they should as their will be no inflate of hoses when handle is squeezed.

Will refit the new seals and pads and leave the pleasure of getting air out of the hoses is for another day, when they are mounted on the bike.
