I was riding today on forest roads and noticed that low-end torque was off. Acceleration and climbing suffered.
But once things got rolling (I think controller automatically switches to sensorless at faster speeds?) controller worked fine.
I reconfigured the generic china-controller to sensorless (disconnected halls, used auto-detection) operation.
Low-end torque is back.
I am very surprised how well behaved the Bafang G062-1000W operates with sensorless controller. Take-offs from start are fine, with no hesitation or ratling. Vs fix the hall problem I may just keep it sensorless.
Top speed is same. Hopefully efficiency will not suffer?
