Solar MPPT Charging Lithium Ion - Bulk, Absorb & Float Voltage Settings

They are LG MH1 cells. 4.2V per cell sounds like the number for Bulk and Absob. Then changing the Float to be a lower voltage so it essentially turns off. Not sure how much lower though.

Solar MPPT Charging Lithium Ion - Bulk, Absorb & Float Voltage Settings

This seems like it should be an easier to find an answer to question. I have a SE MPPT and I just want to set it up for Lithium Ion. There is no default option so I'm needing to set it up as a custom battery type. What values should I use per cell for the Bulk, Absorb & Float?

Ebike base mtb for sale Vancouver

I’ve got this Azonic hard tail I used as an Ebike for a number of years. Solid base. Lack of rack mounts was annoying. Has torque sensor bb still installed. https://m.pinkbike.com/buysell/3491369/

Source for Curtis Motor Controller in Vancouver or expedited delivery

Just fried the controller on Daisy. https://eatart.org/gogo/daisy-the-solar-powered-tricycle/ One like this 48V 325A Amp Motor Controller Replace 1204410 Compatible with Curtis 1204-410 48V 225A 5K-0 https://a.co/d/1O8gNZ5 It's driving a DC motor like this as far as we can tell...

    Off the shelf precharge contactor/relay/circuit?

Hello Is anyone aware of a simple timer based solution for connecting a precharge resistor for a certain amount of time before connecting the main contactor? I want my BMS to totally disconnect the pack at LVC but I have several capacitive loads (inverter/charge, motor controller, DCDC) so I'm...

Cells in parallel vs whole packs

Hi hopefully this is a quick question though preliminary searching didn't reveal an existing answer. Say you have 8x 3.6V identical cells. To make a 12V battery I understand the best approach would be to do sets of two cells in parallel then 4 sets in series. 2P4S. Then this could be managed by...

Ferrule End and Screw Lug for high current cable - bad idea?

Hi. I'm trying to figure out a solution for a cable end that can pass through a gland and am wondering about using a combination of a ferrule and a screw lug. It's a <1m run of 3/0 wire carrying 600A max. Or would the preferred option be to fatten the cable at the gland with some heat shrink...

    Hot Swappable Battery - 1000A @ 12v or 24V?

Thanks for the info To clarify by hot swappable I mean like externally charged. Mech would run until it was at a low power level. We'd then pull out the batteries and replace with fully changed ones and the mech would keep running. It would scale to the point that the mech could run pretty much...

    Hot Swappable Battery - 1000A @ 12v or 24V?

Thanks for the replies. I do realize I should've provided more context. I'm the lead engineer for this project. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCepKsWePdtKjsud7cqjbB9A Currently we have a 100V pack of 5x CALB CAM72 cells which can do 3C for 3min. So at times we're running 1000A through our twin...

    Hot Swappable Battery - 1000A @ 12v or 24V?

Does anyone know of a company selling batteries capable of 1000A in a hot swappable form factor. Looking to make a 144V pack out of them but hoping there is something off the shelf.

Wanted Vancouver/Canada source for Gigavac GV200-QA or equivalent

Looking to source some contactors for our Curtis 1238 motor controllers. Trick seems to be that they need to not have PWM or Coil Suppression so as to not damage the controller. https://www.evwest.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2_13&products_id=406

Shunt Based Smart Solenoid "Diode" for Battery Isolation

Hi there I'm wondering if anyone knows of a product that is essentially a circuit that only lets current flow in one direction using a relay. I'm thinking its a simple IC that boots up, closes a relay then watches the direction of current flow and if the flow goes one way it opens the relay...

Min Voltage for Throttle Output of Cycle Analyst 2.3

Hi I figured out my problem. The throttle lines from the cycle analyst wasn't connected (or had a bad connection which would explain the intermittent behaviour I was seeing). The retaining clip on the connector had bent up so it was being pushed out of the connector rather than making a...
