Hello,
Can someone give me a heads up on the cost comparison between DIY and Pre-made battery packs? From what I can tell there are the following costs:
Cells
Nickel-Strip/connectors
BMS
Shrinkwrap/Tape
Can someone give me a rough outline of your own costs? based on my own research if there...
Hey all,
I currently have a 1000w 48v kit on my old 26" hard tail bike. I'm looking to upgrade to a 2013-2015 giant trance and try my hub motor at first, but then probably eventually install a BBSHD. The thing is, it looks like the rear dropouts are not going to be easy to fit my standard 1000w...
hey,
i have 3 powertool batteries at 58v.. i want to run them in parallel, 2 of them are 58v or 57.9 on my multimeter and the other one is around 57 or 57.5v... will this be a problem? ive put them all on the charger but this one battery just doesnt get as high even when left on for a while...
Be careful as your battery may not handle extra power...
To increase the power, add some copper wire to the shunts.. Search here for how people have done it
Hey all I have one of those Sunwin 750w 48v controllers, but it seems to be drawing nearly 3000w (according to my cheap amp meter anyhow the peak amps is around 64 at 48v)
This morning i tried wiring in the low speed setting by connecting the black and yellow wires, i think it has brought it...
Hey I got one of those little blue eBay led amp meters for my ebike/drift trike and whenever I connect it there is a burning smell & it gets a bit hot.. Is this normal or should I get a refund? I'm scared to use it
Also any suggestions for good amp meters I don't have to worry about screwing...
To give some more details I currently have a 48v battery rated for this speed controller (20-25a?)
I was considering going to 52v for more power w existing kit but then thought I could get another identical 48v batt and either double the Amps or volts, but would need to change the controller...
Hey all, I have one of the 1000w hub motor kits bought on online special in australia recently, it doesn't seem to have a brand but it's the common black style shape that looks like mxus but I'm guessing wouldn't be as good quality.
Anyways I've set it up on my drift trike for fwd power and...

Hey,
So I'm putting together a 48w 1000w system, I live in australia, what battery should I buy and from where?
I'm looking for a compact light-weight battery - was thinking 10-15ah and want to spend under $500 with shipping.
There is a hobbyking in my city, but I have no idea about assembling...
at the moment the cohnis motor kit is looking pretty good.. under $1000 for the kit with the 48v 20a lipo4 battery.. although i think thats about 12kgs.. the 15ah battery is like 8kgs, so im trying to decide on the battery size at the moment.. weight is important, not sure how much ill notice...
Hey, cheers for all of that info, im looking at the 1000w kit rather than the 500w kit and i noticed on their website they have the limno2 and the lipo4 batteries... perhaps this has changed since you ordered from them? so at the end of the day is limno2 also not a bad choice? i mean 1000 cycles...
wow, those cohnismotor guys have really good prices on parts (shame the shipping is so expensive but still a good price).. does anyone else have experience with cohnismotor?
cheers
Paul
