    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

I did reflash with all three files but I did not realise that the HEX file for options was not suitable - I sourced an S19 file and the reflash worked fine. I have since ridden the bike on standard firmware, which was trouble free. I decided to reflash with the OSF and it also worked fine...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

UPDATE: I reflashed the controller with the factory settings using STVP. This cures the battery issue, it now always displays full bars. I know have the issue that I get full assist regardless of the assist level I select. Strange, as this means reflashing the original files I made before I...

TDSZ2 & VLCD5 OSF no assist and only 1 bar battery

Good morning, I was over the moon discovering the OSF firmware flashing made by @emmebrusa for the TDSZ2.....absolutely amazing. Flashed my motor and instant success, really impressed. The only wobble was a couple of cut outs during two rides of 20 and 30 miles, which I resolved by powering...

Hi, I was over the moon discovering this firmware flashing for the TDSZ2.....absolutely amazing. Flashed my motor and instant success, really impressed. The only wobble was a couple of cut outs during two rides of 20 and 30 miles, which I resolved by powering off at the VLCD5. I was still...

TSDZ2 intermittent cut out under load - SOLVED

Swapped out the chain for a new SRAM PC830 - made no difference. Kept the PC830 chain on and swapped out the cassette for a new SRAM PG850 - the problem was solved. Old cassette is not old or worn but swapping it out cured the problem.

TSDZ2 intermittent cut out under load - SOLVED

Quite possible considering I have now swapped out both bearings on the TDSZ2, I am going to swap the chain and 8 speed cassette with some SRAM components.

TSDZ2 intermittent cut out under load - SOLVED

I have now replaced the blue gear and the larger sprag clutch CSK30P and the 'slipping' issue is still happening, neither replacement has made any difference. The problem is exactly like the one in the video

TSDZ2 intermittent cut out under load - SOLVED

The cut-out is so momentary that I would not know if the motor cut out as the "bang" drowns out the motor noise. The way I would describe the noise is when a worn chain slips a tooth.....which makes me think the sprag-clutch would be a likely candidate. Thanks for the advice.

TSDZ2 intermittent cut out under load - SOLVED

@endlessolli - what steps do you recommend I take to try and find the root cause of the intermittent cut outs?

TSDZ2 intermittent cut out under load - SOLVED

Thank you for the reply. That's a shame as there really is nothing complicated about an electric motor. Given your experience I am loathed to spend money on swapping out components. I was thinking it might be a fault with the battery BMS in that it could not deliver enough amps but I have not...

TSDZ2 intermittent cut out under load - SOLVED

Thank you for the reply. The cut-outs happen regardless of the temperature and state of charge. I am located 51.7520° N, 1.2577° W - temperatures have been 70+ and will cool to 50 for the rest of the month. 335Wh is more than enough for what I need the bike to do, the larger battery I had...

TSDZ2 intermittent cut out under load - SOLVED

Good evening, I built a 500W TSDZ2 48v-6pin a few years back and it worked flawlessly on several conversions. I recently put it back onto the original bike and I now get an intermittent, momentary cut out under load. It makes quite a noise, similar to when screw on cassettes tightened up...

    Bafang 850C & TSDZ2 - troubleshooting

Thanks for the reply. I did ask the seller and they could not confirm what the 850C to TSDZ2 connections should be.

    Bafang 850C & TSDZ2 - troubleshooting

Greetings e-bikers, I have been enjoying several months of using a 48v TSDZ2 running stock firmware and decided to upgrade to the Open source firmware. I purchased two leads from Eco Ebike and followed the instructions laid out in - https://www.eco-ebike.com/blogs/eco-cycles-instructionals...
